About

Founded on the evening of the Golden Globes in 2018, I Actually Paid to See This aspires to serve notice about the good, bad, and ugly in newly-released films, in hopes that readers will be able to spend their money judiciously and for quality content, rather than blowing $20 a head for a steaming pile of crap. This is meant to be an open conversation, and opposing views are always welcome. At the end of the day, all we want is to make Jay Sherman’s thesis come true: “If people stop going to bad movies, they’ll stop making bad movies.”

Also, please note that unless otherwise stated, all images are obtained through Google searches. I do not have any contracts or licensing deals with any movie studios or production companies, and I do not profit in any way from the use of these photos, so please don’t sue.
